BRSCC Mazda MX-5 Championship

The BRSCC Mazda MX-5 championship is the headline championship for the MK1 MX-5. It is one of the best supported single make championships in British Motorsport and also one of the most competitive, with it being a common sight to see the Mazda's bumper to bumper the entire race. The championship is designed as a great entry point into the sport and has a mix of all age groups with the young chargers coming through the ranks and the older more experienced drivers with still a lot to give.

The race weekends consist of a 20 minute qualifying session followed by 3 X 20 minute races throughout the weekend. There are 8 race weekends in a season visiting all of the best tracks around the UK including Silverstone, Brands Hatch and Donington Park. This championship is often the headline act on a BRSCC race weekend.

BRSCC Mazda MX-5 Clubman Championship

The BRSCC Mazda MX-5 clubman championship is a cost effective feeder series into the main BRSCC MX-5 Championship. Designed for drivers on a tight budget that want to cut their teeth on a slightly less competitive grid before joining the main grid. The clubman championship still boasts large grids and very close racing. It features on the same race weekends as the national championship and shares the same paddock and hospitality. The championship runs over 1 day on the weekend meaning less commitment is required in terms of hotel fees, tyres and fuel. It consists of a 15 minute qualifying session and 2 X 15 minute races for 8 rounds during the season.

750MC MX-5 Cup

The 750MC MX-5 Cup is a standalone championship within the 750 paddock and offers a more fun and relaxed approach to MX-5 racing. It runs the same tyres and regulations as the BRSCC championships and visits many of the same circuits around the UK.

A weekend generally consists of a 20 minute qualifying session and 3 X 20 minute races however some weekends are reduced to 2 races.

Over the past couple of seasons this championship has proved itself to be extremely competitive.

MSV Miata Trophy

The MSV Miata trophy is all new for 2023 and is MSV's answer to the ever growing MX-5 grids. It's new calendar consists of 6 rounds, 5 of which are at MSV circuits and the other at another UK based circuit. Both the MK1 and MK3 race car are legible to compete and each will have its own class within the one grid. The series has a quirky new feature with a 'Superpole' session added to the qualifying format, this allows the fastest 10 drivers to fight it out for pole separate from the rest of the grid. All cars will then compete in 2 sprint races at each round with 2 class champions crowned at the end of the year.

A large turnout is expected with this most likely being the most cost effective MK-5 series in the UK. We look forward to seeing how it gets on in its debut season.
